Data: Data বলতে কোন নির্দিষ্ট valve বা set of value কে বুঝায় যা কোন ব্যক্তি, বস্তু বা কোন বিষয়ের পরিমানে, বর্ন ইত্যাদি নির্দেশ করে।
→ Data is a raw material, unprocessed facts and figure. For-example-Temperature reading reading 72°F, 68, 75°F.
→ Data ও প্রকার- Numeric (1,2,3), Non Numeric(A,B,C,D), Boolean (0.1).
Information: অর্থবোধক বা প্রক্রিয়কৃত date কে Information বলে। অর্থাৎ Data কে Process করলে যা পাওয়া যায় তাই Information.
→ Information is a processed and organized data that has context and meaning, also called the collection of data.
→ For example Average temperature of the day is 71. 67°F.

Data and Information এর মধ্যে পার্থক্যঃ
Data:
(1) Data is unprocessed or meaning less.
(2) Data gives the partial idea of something.
(3) Data can not be used directly
(4) Example- students exam score 85,92,78 90.
(5) তথ্যের খুদ্রতম একক হলো ডাটা.
(৬) Data হলো Input স্বরূপ.
Information:
(1) Processed and Meaning full data is called Information.
(2) Information gives the complete idea of something.
(3) Information can be used directly
(4) Example- class Average is 86.25 including overal performation.
(5) Data কে Process করলে যা পাওয়া যায় তাই Information.
(6) Information হলো output স্বরূপ.
